Woodside Boys & Girls Duo Capture The 2016 6A South Regional Tournament Championship With Full Force Domination:

Both Woodside’s girls and boys basketball teams won the 2016 6A South Regional Tournament Championship. The girls beat Landstown High and the boys beat Oscar Smith High. All four teams were relentless. As the crowd got louder, the teams worked harder. Woodside girls worked as a team throughout the entire game. Number 3, Jay Kilpatrick scored 18 points and number 14, Cam Wilson scored 13 points for Woodside. They played with more aggression than most boys. Both teams tried their very best to beat each other, making the game all the more exciting to watch. Woodside boys started off strong in the first quarter scoring two points within the first three minutes and not letting up on the lead the entire game. They executed full force domination. Woodside’s Chris Orlina coming off the bench scored 28 points for his team. The Woodside boys coach Steve Jecewiz said he was excited for the boys. “They have been steadily improving.” Woodside girl & boys shared a big title win for the second time this basketball season.
