Woodside earned a win over West Potomac on Friday in the first round of the Boys Group 6A State Quarterfinals at the Siegel Center March 4, 2016. Carter’s burst (18) was critical in the entire game, while Jacobs (14); Forbes (13) and Davis (12) led WHS. Woodside’s coach Steve Jecewiz said he sensed a poor-shooting start for his team, “It was a little sloppy on both ends of the court, but we made enough plays at the end of the game to move on.” Coaching staff will make the necessary adjustments in faith that shooting/defense would come around and come out big in the next two games. The Wolverines advance to face Westfield that knock off C.D. Hylton 67 to 49 on Friday at the Siegel Center.
