Kevon King etched his name into VHSL championship history on Saturday, December 11th, with 290 rushing yards. Oscar Smith’s head coach, Chris Scott, knew his running backs would be celebrating after they pounded the heart of the line for 290 yards and three touchdowns. “The running backs did their part, the receivers, the defense; everybody was good today,” said Ethan Vasko, Oscar Smith’s QB. He played an efficient (9 of 17,134 yards 2TD) and a nearly error-free game. It is the first time Oscar Smith HS football team has won two consecutive VHSL State Championships.
