Kamari Jackson Receives All-State Recognition Honors for 2016 Football Season: “Success demands more than people are willing to offer, but not more than they are capable of giving”. Kamari Jackson gave Woodside football his heart, mind and soul during his time at Woodside High. Kamari Jackson was on top of his game this season. The Woodside Wolverines, senior played defensive back this year and claimed first-team conference, first-team regionals, and first-team all-state recognition for 6A from the Virginia Football Coaches Association. The academic performance of Woodside’s student-athletes continues to rise to record levels. Kamari is maintaining a 2.7 in his honor courses as well as making a significant contribution to his team on the field. Kamari had an incredible year. It just shows the type of athlete that he is and how good of a leader he is on the field. He led Woodside in other ways, too, He was one of Woodside’s captains and team leaders for two years. “We are extremely proud of the accomplishments of Kamari in the classroom and on the football field,” said Coach Rhodes (defensive coordinator). The head football coach, Danny Dotson and support coaching staff need truly be commended. Kamari Jackson played well enough to be honored as best in the state.
