The two-day VHSL tournament held at Magnolia Green Golf Club Course at Moseley, VA. attracted more than 45 players in each division (5A/6A. It was the final team golf event VHSL tournament for calendar 2017. Charlie Kennedy who had a strong season at Mills Godwin High, produced rounds of 72-68 to win the boys 5A title with a par on the first playoff hole. Deep Run’s Charlie Hanson was second at 140 (71-69). Langley’s, Kelly Chin had rounds of 70-66 (136) to win the overall individual championship of 6A. Hickory High and Kellam High, both finished as runners-up in the team’s 5A/6A VHSL golf championship.
