Princess Anne Cavaliers blew past L.C.Bird in the girls basketball semi VHSL state quarterfinals. In the girls Class 5 quarterfinals, Princess Anne Cavaliers (24-1) moved closer to defending their state title from last year. Brianna Jackson had a big night with 26 points and 18 rebounds. It was a team effort, with help from her teammates, Makayla Dickens 11 points, Jasha Clinton 10 points and Bryonna Ferebee 10 points as well. The eight Hampton Roads area basketball teams were overcome by emotion at the conclusion of the first round state quarterfinals game this past weekend.
