Countdown To Kickoff: Hampton Roads Coaches Are Gearing Up Their 2018 Play Book.
Although football is rapidly becoming a year-round activity, the high school season is approaching quickly with conditioning beginning imminently. The calendar says that we are days away from the start of the 2018 VHSL football season. Football season starts this Thursday.
The high school 7 on 7 Tour is over and it’s time to issue out helmets. The Hampton Roads teams competed very well. It’s the ultimate test for individual athletes; however, it’s an excellent way to improve both individually and as a team. Players have the opportunity to experience the thrill of gameplay with their team and compete, as well as test their limits by handling high pressure situations.
There are many wonderful things about Hampton Roads football and their hardworking athletes that colleges and universities appreciate and look for. There are scouts from many different colleges and universities that observe Hampton Roads athletes with the opportunity to offer positions and scholarships. From top prospects to coaches, colleges have simply fallen in love with this area of Virginia. What many college coaches have long believed is that when they come to Hampton Roads, they are not just checking out some of Virginia’s elite play-makers on the field, but they are also witnessing men and women who have helped many of these future college star players reach that level of potential. It’s an amazing opportunity for college coaches, athletes, and high school coaches.
