Woodside’s football team dominated Hampton Crabbers from the second quarter to the final ticks on the clock, turning what some thought might be a highly competitive contest 31-26 for the Wolverines.
The Woodside Wolverines triumphed against the Hampton Crabbers on Senior Day. Woodside High School’s players, parents, coaches, band members, cheerleaders and students all came together on the field before the game in jubilee as they celebrated Senior Day. Coach Dotson supported his senior student-athletes as they were recognized. “It felt good to walk out and support my seniors”, stated Coach Dotson. Woodside performed well with a smothering defensive performance and a few timely big plays which were enough to lift Woodside High School to a 31-26 win over the Hampton Crabbers. It was very special for these seniors to beat a dynamic team like Hampton High. With the win, Woodside moves to (6-3). Woodside’s next opponent will be Menchville High for the last regular season game.
