The support system of peers, school, and families plays a huge role in the success of success.
We’re always looking for the next great sports debate, something fresh to discuss and deliberate. Recently the debate has become who the best football team is in Virginia.
The VHSL has six divisions classes levels, all on the table for the great debate. During consideration, we have placed a big emphasis on championships, collective performance, and individual performances, while also considering all program division classes influence.
For student-athletes, playing fall sports like football, is when practice begins. Toiling in the summer heat, coaches and student-athletes were filled with optimism and visions of state championships. Winning teams place a high value on the teamwork skills athletes learn for success in the classroom and on the field. After all, the saying “there is no ‘I’ in team” becomes important when considering the success many teams are capable of.
All summer and preseason teams built a dominant program in the days prior to the start of the state tournament series. The key to having a solid team is to establish one early one. Teammates learn themselves and each other, while coaches have the opportunity to learn their athletes and develop skills integral to their team’s success.
Truly, at this time when student-athletes, coaches and fans of nearly every school can brag about their accomplishment for winning state championships. Of course, it takes more than just the team’s effort and the coaches’ expertise. The support system of peers, school, and families plays a huge role in the success of success. 2018 State Championship series football games begin Saturday December 8, 2018.
