Princess Anne Cavaliers won its fifth girls basketball state championship in school history with a victory over Thomas Edison 61-45 at the VHSL Class 5A state title game.
Brianna Jackson has dominated inside the paint with double-double in the entire VHSL Class 5 state basketball championship series. Jasha Clinton had a big game scoring 17 points in the victory over Thomas Edison. Senior Xaria Wiggins, capped a spectacular high school career, who won state titles on varsity all four seasons in high school. The Cavaliers finished their season with (26-1) This win gave Princess Anne girls basketball coach Darnell Dozier fifth consecutive state title. The big win today gave him nine overall, a big accomplishment in VHSL records book.
