Gloucester High School golf team is fresh off the program’s best team finish and armed with the second place team medalist from the 2017 regionals championships. The golf team opens its fall season this week at the Gloucester Country Club Golf Course. The one-day tournament is hosted by the Peninsula District.
As the golf season gets on it’s way, Gloucester continues to strive for excellence. GHS golf team won the tournament with the score of 310. There was a three-way tie for the individual lead with matching scoring averages of 72 by Nathan Gross (GHS), Jeremy Carr (GHS), and Ethan Hales (MHS). The next tournament is at Sleepy Hole Golf Course located on the beautiful Nansemond River in Suffolk on August 13, at 10:00am.
