Oscar Smith opened up the wrestling season with a double dual meet win against Lakeland and Hickory. Oscar Smith wrestled aggressively winning five straight matches against Lakeland HS. Coach Motley was proud of their efforts in the two-team win. The Tigers’ heavyweight Jeremiah Ducre pulled out a pair of his two victories with pins on his opponents. Isaac Hudson also had a two-victory night, a pin in the first and a tightly contested bout in the second. Tristan Plant was also impressive with his victory in 132 weight class. Jaheim Lucas of Oscar Smith pulled off the victory with the last match 113 weight class winning with a pin giving the points they needed for the team victory against Hickory High. Up next for the Oscar Smith’s wrestling team is the wrestling tournament in Richmond.
