Meredith is a rising star in Jr. Olympic Weightlifting, although her journey didn’t start on the lifting platform. Meredith discusses her journey from gymnastics, track & fled, to CrossFit, to Junior National Olympics Weightlifting (69 kilograms weight class). Meredith is a phenomenal role model for young girls and an advocate for positive body-image as a driver of self-confidence in her community.  Meredith has the full support of her family.  Meredith’s father, Mr. Alwine stated, “We’re excited to support Meredith as she continues to evolve as a student-athlete”. Meredith is a natural competitor and she achieved great success and notoriety as a gymnast at Kellam High School before her athletic development led her into the growing sport of weightlifting.
