It was another great day of Menchville High School athletic accomplishment for the swim program. Menchville swimmers continue to demonstrate increased development and skill as the season progresses, and continues to excel in pool. The Monarchs Swim Teams had a strong showing at their conference 10 championship meet on February 3, 2017 at Midtown Aquatic Center in Newport News, VA. The Monarchs swimmer impressed us all in the beginning of the competition by the relay teams taking first in both the girls and boys 200 yards medley relay. Senior Alex Moore stated, “It just feel right capturing another conference 10 championship”. Coach Makenzie Hogan-Smith said she couldn’t be happier about the teams’ success. “We are very happy and proud of our swimmers’ results and we are overjoyed about winning both titles. Congratulations to Kecoughtan girls and boys swim team on their second place finish at conference 10 championship. Both teams scored 991 points combined. The top finishing swimmers are off to Regionals at Midtown Aquatic Center in Newport News, VA. February 9, 2017.
