Jamestown High boys golf team aims for state title
As a high school golfer in Virginia, there are numerous opportunities for high school athlete to play golf throughout the year. There are many opportunities to play golf in Hampton Roads at the highest level. With medals in their hands, Jamestown Eagles’ golf team stood proudly at VHSL Class 4 State Championship as they pose for pictures with the Class 4A state championship trophy. Jamestown had an excellent chance to accomplish the feat with a rotation that features Bobby Dudeck, Mason Eggleston, Jack DeVore, Fletcher Chisman, Whit Coggin and Hogan Schulze. Bobby helped lead the Eagles to their 4A boys title Monday at Williamsburg National Golf Course. “It’s awesome,” said Bobby, who was one of only two players in the field to shoot a round under-68 during the one-day tournament. “It’s a great way to end a high school career.” The Jamestown Eagles shot 285 to defeat the entire team field by 19 strokes or more to win the titles. Michael Brennan form Tuscarora High School won the VHSL Individual Championship with -6 under par. Bobby Dudeck of Jamestown placed runner-up with-4 under par.
