The Highland Springs Springers cemented their legacy as one of Virginia’s all-time great football teams by grabbing their fifth state championship after defeating Maury Commodores on Saturday, December 10th at ODU S.B. Ballard Stadium in Norfolk, Virginia. QB Khristian Martin ran for 76 yards and passed for 77 yards with one TD in the endzone pass to Takye Heath. RB Aziz Foster-Powell ran for 129 all-purpose yards and one TD, to lead the Springers to a 33-19 win over the Commodores in the  battle for the Class 5A State Championship title division.
