Grassfield H.S. Girls Take Single and Doubles In The Monitor-Merrimac Conference 2 Tennis Tournament Title.

Alina Creamer(GF) won the singles on May 24th. She has a great serve with amazing receiving skills. Even when competing against her teammate Hailey Christian(GF) she does her best, but acts generously. Her personality is great on and off the court. She portrays great sportsmanship and her coach does a nice job of role modeling it. Creamer doesn’t let any bad shots get her down. After high school, she will attend college with a merits scholarship for aerospace. Alena and Hailey collaborated well together to beat Granby’s girls #1 doubles team. When they play, Alena’s weaknesses are Hailey’s strengths and vice versa. They alternate attacking the net. The two stayed positive and motivated throughout the match. They succeeded in winning doubles today. Noah Warack (GF) won the boys singles. He plays with much enthusiasm. The spectators were very supportive. The volume increases when he is doing well and puts a pep in his step. His match against Ben Holtzclaw (WB) was full of excitement.-By Tiarra Johnson
