Arguably, one of the toughest and coolest sports to play is Field Hockey in Gloucester. Coach Miller always has his athletes in shape, aggressive, and determined to endure constant sprinting up and down the field to advance the ball into the goal. The team’s continued success can be attributed to the hard work and commitment demonstrated by each other and the coaching staff alike on a daily basis. With the regular season just over, the Gloucester High School field hockey team is intent on making its mark in the all-important playoff /postseason. The Gloucester Dukes displayed a lot of energy during senior night. The Dukes came out on fire and played with a lot of intensity. The seniors really set the tone and they implemented a lot of communication that they had been working on with spacing and ball movement in the first half looking rock solid. The Lady Dukes shut out Hanover High School 6-0 win today with a 6-0 win. Offensively, Hannah Hamay lead the Dukes and is one of the team’s top scorers and assists throughout the season. The Dukes finished the regular season 16-0. Coach Johnson spoke with Hannah about the game and senior night.
