The final rounds of the 2017 VHSL 6A South Region Wrestling Tournament Championship got underway. Barry Carpenter of Oscar Smith felt more confident, stronger and excited than ever. Barry continued his hard work in the 2017 Tournament Championship by winning the 170-pound weight class. Trevor Burns of Grassfield won his match in the 285-pound weight class with a pin of his opponent with 1.14 second left in the final third period. The two had the highest finishes among area wrestlers.
