Woodside administration introduced the new head wrestling coach to the entire student body where they had a pep rally/wrestling match showcase.The student body attended the wrestling pep rally showcase and received excellent and exciting wrestling instruction while they rooted for their classmates. One of the unique experiences about the pep rally/wrestling match showcase was the attention paid to after-match strategy.High school wrestling matches are not like they used to be due to a decreased number of athletes coming out to participate in the varsity sport. The wolverines wrestling squad performed well at the pep rally wrestling showcase. Woodside’s wrestling team went 45-34 at the showcase on Friday, December 9, defeatingHampton High in a non-conference dual.Senior Jalen Hodges finished with a win in his respective weight classes.
