Woodside H.S. Football Travel To The Pro Hall Of Fame 2016

The Woodside High School football team has been given the opportunity to play Glenoak High School in Canton, Ohio on Friday, August 26, 2016. Coaches Danny Dotson and Jerome Rhodes of the Woodside Football Team began taking their team to out of state games beginning in 2015 in order for the players to have an all-around athletic experience. While in the City of Canton, the team visited The Pro Football Hall of Fame which was created and built by a city native and pro player, Allen Page. The Hall opened its doors on September 7, 1963 with only two rooms and has underwent several expansions. The Woodside team was taught the Hall’s five core values that are learned from the game: commitment, integrity, courage, respect, and excellence. The Hall consists of several sections, but most impressive was the busts of inductees. The Woodside team was motivated by the hologram of Joe Namath entitled A Game For Life, The Ultimate Locker Room. Josh Hartley’s mother shared it brought her to tears. The Woodside Wolverines has been enjoying this unique traveling experience with their team and is excited for their game on Friday. Article by Conttina Minor-Johnson
