With 2018 district titles in hand, Jamestown’s boys and girl’s teams kick off regionals with an eye toward championships.

As the first round of regional tournament opens Monday May 14, Jamestown High boys (14 – 2) and girls (14 – 1), it was a very good performance all around. The Jamestown High School Lady Eagles tennis team defeated Warhill High, 5-0, in the 4A regional quarter tournament on Monday. The boys followed suit as they defeated Denbigh High, 5-0 4A regional quarter tournament on Monday as well. For the Eagles, the win was another step toward a championship title. “We’ve been training really hard together,” Head coach Bob Artis said, “We’re excited to move forward in the tournament.” Region Semifinals will be played at Jamestown High for girls and boys.
