With the high school championship season countdown a month away, Jamestown Eagles and Menchville High School are gearing up for a run a championship title. At the Twenty-Ninth Annual Kecoughtan Invitational at Midtown Aquatic Center in Newport News, VA on January 13 in the Girls 200 Yard Freestyle, sophomore Abby Reardon of Western Branch High School led off the night with a record-breaking performance with a time of 1:50.63 breaking the old time of 1:51.05 set by Mary Elizabeth Warhol on 1/14/2012. Danika Katzer of York High School also broke records and shattered her old meet record (2:03.44) of last year in the Girls 200 Yard IM by swimming time of 2:02.74. Meet records were also broken in the Girls 50 Yard Freestyle (23.59) and Girls 100 Yard Freestyle (51.39) by Abby Larson of Jamestown High.
