Sorkin/Levin Wins 5A 2016 Tennis Championships Final Over Connatser/Jilakara After Epic Battle.

High school tennis players took to the courts Friday June 3, for the 2016 regional tennis championships. The Class 5A Regionals competition at Huntington Tennis Center in Newport News included eleven teams and featured girls and boys in singles and doubles matches from Deep Run, Meadowbrook, Nansemond River, Hickory, Douglas S. Freeman, Menchville, Maury, Kecoughtan, Matoaca and Prince George high schools. In the Class 5A Regionals championship round, Deep Run’s girls swept the competition to claim the singles and doubles title in dramatic fashion.
