Shadajah Ballard Swept The Class 6A State Championships In Sprint Dashes.
The VHSL track team saw several PRs posted on the final day of competition at the VHSL 5A/6A on Saturday, May 1, 2019 with strong races. Shadajah Ballard crushed the field in the 6A at state, winning all three dashes sprints.Track and field greatness Shadajah Ballard claimed gold and won 6A state titles in the 55 hurdles, 55 dash, 300 meters dash, 100 meters dash, 100 meters dash and 200 meters dash in one school year. That kind of success doesn’t come without years and years of training. It was a pretty neat moment for track fans and all of her teammates involved. Shadajah works hard and does all of the little things, so she deserves it, that’s for sure. But the most important thing was to win the VHSL team state title Shadajah said.
