Kamari Jackson 2016 ‘757 All-Star Football Classic Defensive MVP Winner’ & First Team All-Region Defensive Back, 2 time First Team-All Conference DB.

Kamari Jackson is the epitome of hard work; in each game he plays dedication radiates off of him. This fact has earned Jackson the titles of First Team All-Region Defensive Back, 2 time First Team-All Conference DB, and Two time Defensive Player of the Week. He led his team in tackles and interceptions and 1 blocked punt. His constant leadership helped Woodside High School’s football team achieve multiple wins this season (10-3). It all started his freshman year, “I knew Kamari was a leader when he played the biggest game of his life without flinching”, Woodside’s Coach Rhodes (the defense coordinator) proudly admitted. As Jackson’s skills progressed in football, he became well known throughout Hampton Roads. Jackson’s teammate Darius Jones said, “Kamari’s devotion and hard work displays his talent”. Jackson is not only a star on the field, but in the classroom as well. He has earned a 3.0 GPA. Kamari Jackson is a well-rounded student-athlete and we certainly will see more achievements spawn from him in the future. He has shined in big moments on the Woodside Wolverines football team and played really well against some great all-star players in Hampton Roads. On December 17, 2017, Jackson played his last high school game in the 757 All-Star Football Classic game held at ODU. Jackson had 4 solo tackles and one interception, Jackson was named the defense MVP. Jackson will continue his football career at the Delaware State University. – by Tabitha Calvin
