Golf Season Tees Off With Peninsula-District Teams In Action This Week:

Golf is a great sport for student athletes who want to focus on their individual improvement. Student athletes on the golf team goes to the driving range as often as possible throughout the summer before try-outs. They go through buckets of balls and practice hitting with the driver and irons during the months of July and August. Some Peninsula-District golf players awake before dawn on and not for anything related to school, but making an early tee time. The Peninsula-District which launched the 2016 golf season began Wednesday August 10, at Gloucester Country Club and will utilize many golf courses this season in Hampton Roads. Hunter Martin of Gloucester H.S. is among the contenders for the boys 5A overall conference title this year.
