Hampton neighborhood has produced some great athletes that are ballers, racers, and now swimmers. For Brieanna Romney, she began right in her neighborhood at Willow Oaks neighborhood pool in the Fox Hill Area in Hampton, Va. Attending Kecoughtan High School, Romney had a great freshman year while placing fifth in both the 50 and 100 yard Freestyle 5A VHSL swim/dive championship meet. She is one of the top swimmers in Virginia as a freshman and made the USA swim team try-outs cuts and will be competing in November. Many athletes compete because they love their sport. What keeps Brieanna motivated? It is the love for her neighborhood swim team and her supportive parents and family members. Brieanna attributes her entire approach to skill training. She is consistent in her attendance, effort and dedication to getting better.
