Amira Aduma was peerless in the 3A State Outdoor Track and Field Championships held in Harrisonburg, VA. She won three state titles in the 100-meter dash, long jump, and 300-meter hurdles this season. Amira recorded her personal best (when it counted the most) in the 400 meters hurdles with a 59.18 finish at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor. “I was blatantly excited”, she exclaimed. Amira Aduma has been selected as the 2017 Girls Track and Field Athlete of the Year. Amira will compete collegiately at University of Illinois.
